Ten Second Trials
Design, direction and production, THANK YOU can do it all, as evidenced in the re-branding of ION Television. With a language of visual origami tying the pieces together, the message literally unfolds before the viewer in a beautiful dynamic flow. The design is extremely adaptable, lending itself well to web, video and print, and presenting any mix of text, images and video footage.
Rigid folding in Rhino with Grasshopper
Folding (soundtrack by Luigi Allemano) was originally created as a stereoscopic animated installation on a Wheatstone viewer. The left and right images were projected onto suspended sheets of Japanese paper and the viewer looked into a central mirror configuration to watch the film. In the installation version, the left and right eyes had sections that had out of sync flickers and different colours. For some reason, this didn’t seem too painful looking at through the viewer (perhaps because you already had to strain your eyes), however it was awful with 3d glasses (anaglyph, polarized and likely active systems). This 2011 update features a newly recorded sound: Drums: Dave Laing Recording: Vid Cousins, Monkey Puzzle Studios Mix: Tim Horlor Music & Sound: Luigi Allemano Concept & Animation: Alison Reiko Loader

Music: Taprikk Sweezee “Volt” - Remixed by Kidkenevil Directed by: Paul Mumford Animation and Production: http://bit.ly/IVZHKj Label: Error Broadcast Labmeta was approached by Taprikk in late 2011 to create a video for the track Volt on his upcoming Repolyx release. The sumptuous remix by kid kanevil is a dance floor killer, the perfect mix of sleazy, low slung beats with the sweet and intricate vocals of Taprikk. The video features a sparse environment that is manipulated by a polygon reactor, ‘a chromosome that designs a thin crack for revolution, a chance for redesign….’ Repolyx out NOW on Error Broadcast http://bit.ly/ebctp005
official music video for INA D’s song “Changing”. by LSquadrat, Neotonie (www.neotonie.com), and helbiba coaching: Roland Lindner - decollage.tv London This music video was created as a non-commercial project by Laura Sahin, Astrid Neumayr and Barbara Helbich at the BETA Young Creative Lab. After test shoots on different materials and with different types of animation they decided to make very basic abstract animations which are projected onto black cardboard cubes that are moved in the room. This way they are able to translate the dynamic of the sound into a new visual language. A three-dimensional look could be achieved that makes you wonder if the video is “real” or a product of 3D computer animation. Rather important was the conclusion at the end with the three of them moving the cubes and letting everything end in a colorful chaos. Something that might be interesting: there was no manipulation of the raw-footage after the shooting, the only thing that was done in the postproduction was the cutting.
