Ten Second Trials
Design, direction and production, THANK YOU can do it all, as evidenced in the re-branding of ION Television. With a language of visual origami tying the pieces together, the message literally unfolds before the viewer in a beautiful dynamic flow. The design is extremely adaptable, lending itself well to web, video and print, and presenting any mix of text, images and video footage.
Rigid folding in Rhino with Grasshopper
Folding (soundtrack by Luigi Allemano) was originally created as a stereoscopic animated installation on a Wheatstone viewer. The left and right images were projected onto suspended sheets of Japanese paper and the viewer looked into a central mirror configuration to watch the film. In the installation version, the left and right eyes had sections that had out of sync flickers and different colours. For some reason, this didn’t seem too painful looking at through the viewer (perhaps because you already had to strain your eyes), however it was awful with 3d glasses (anaglyph, polarized and likely active systems). This 2011 update features a newly recorded sound: Drums: Dave Laing Recording: Vid Cousins, Monkey Puzzle Studios Mix: Tim Horlor Music & Sound: Luigi Allemano Concept & Animation: Alison Reiko Loader
